Choosing a telephone system is one of the most important business decisions
you'll ever make. Because the telephone is a central part of your day-to-day
business activity, you need a phone system that will help you manage your calls,
highly flexible, allow you to connect many types of phone equipment, and grow
as your business grows, without the need for costly upgrades.
The best selling home and small business phone system, the Panasonic KX-TA624,
has now been dramatically improved with modular expansion capability and a
host of new features. Now you can buy this system and expand its capabilities
as your family, business or budget grows. Some of the new enhancements include
optional auto attendant capabilities (press 1 for Sales, press 2 for Customer
service, press 3 to speak to John...), optional name and number Caller ID and
up to 4 door intercom stations with remote lock control. All of the available
expansion cards fit neatly in the case of the handsome base unit for a clean
professional look.
This Panasonic KX-TA624 works with standard off-the-shelf touch-tone phones,
or for enhanced capabilities use Panasonic Proprietary telephones. Touch-tone
single line phones access call transfer, conference calling, hold, intercom
and other features when you enter codes via the keypad. Proprietary Panasonic
phones access system functions through one touch keys, plus allow you to use
the system's advanced functions, such as hands-free intercom, silent room monitoring,
unique ring, and internal paging. Proprietary LCD phones can show you the number
being dialed, the extension a call is being transferred from, duration of calls,
time/date, and Caller ID (optional Caller ID card - KX-TA62493-3 required for lines 4 - 6 only). The Panasonic KX-TA624
also works with answering machines, cordless phones, fax machines and computer
modems without the need for additional cards or modules. System speed dial
allows all extensions to access a database of 100 programmed numbers and personal
speed dial allows each extension to have its own 10 speed dial numbers. The
base configuration comes with 3 CO (central office) lines and 8 extensions.
Adding the 3 by 8 expansion card changes your phone system from 3 x 8 to 6
x 16. Add the 8-extension expansion to the base system for a 3 x 16 system.
Add both the 3 x 8-expansion card and an 8-extension expansion for a full blown
6 by 24 phone system!
Note: At least one Panasonic LCD proprietary phone must be purchased for
system programming.
System Highlights:
Dual Port Usage
The KX-TA624 System is ready for expansion right from the start. You can
easily connect a Panasonic proprietary telephone and a single-line device
simultaneously to any single extension port. This feature increases the cost
effectiveness of your system and helps eliminate extra wiring costs.
Flexible CO Line Buttons
The central office (CO) line buttons on each telephone in the system can
be programmed to suit the specific needs of each employee. You can alternately
program CO line buttons for Direct Station Selection (DSS)/Busy Lamp Field
(BLF), automatic dialing or one-touch access to the feature used most often.
Auto Attendant & Fax Detection
With the addition of an Auto Attendant and Fax Detection Card, the phone
system will provide a simplified "auto-attendant" feature with two custom
30-second outgoing messages. After dialing into the system callers can
obtain single-digit access to specific extensions or ring groups at any
time during or after the outgoing message. Callers with an authorized security
code can access the system's outside lines or place intercom calls. Additionally,
fax calls can be automatically transferred to a designated fax extension,
eliminating the need for a dedicated fax line.
Automatic Redial
At the touch of a button the phone automatically redials the last number
called. This feature can be extremely helpful when you're trying to get
through to a busy party.
External Connections
External connections include jacks for connecting to an optional external
music source for music-on-hold and audio out to optional external paging
systems. Note: If proprietary speakerphones are purchased, paging announcements
can be made through the speakers built into these phones without the need
for external paging systems. Great for "Dinner's ready!" announcements.
Station Message Detail Recording (SMDR)
By connecting a serial printer to the system, or by attaching a call accounting
system, you can obtain a record of calls. Know who called where, when,
and for how long. Account codes may be assigned to keep track of costs
to be billed to clients, employees, projects or departments.
Caller ID Compatibility
Displays the incoming caller's phone number or name when used with a Panasonic
KX-T7000 series display phone. Display of name may not be available with
some Caller ID services. The system can log up to 20 unanswered calls per
extension. With the help of Caller ID and the Call Log feature you can
identify those callers when you come back to your desk, allowing you to
easily return the calls.
Door Phone/Opener
With the addition of the optional Door Phone/Opener Adapter Card, the system
can interface with up to 4 door intercoms and 4 door contact closures for
remote operation of electric door locks. It's a great way to add security
to your home or small business suite and reduces the time spent running
to answer the door.
Voice Mail System
Connect a Panasonic
KX-TVS50 Voice Processing System to the main module without costly software
or hardware upgrades. Give your business a highly professional edge with
such features as automated attendant and voice mail. The Voice Processing
System has a capacity of up to 4 hours of recording time and 32 password
protected mailboxes that can hold up to 100 messages each. It can handle
up to 2 simultaneous voicemail sessions. With this system you can call out
or answer any of up to 6 incoming phone lines from any extension in your
house or business. Take control of your incoming and outgoing phone calls
with one of the best systems on the market.
Time (Day/Night/Lunch) Service
The system can automatically switch between day, night and lunch modes at
a programmed time every day. The modes can also be changed manually by
the operator or manager at any desired time.
